The Sentinel is Dakine’s gravity focussed glove offering. This glove has a heavily-fortified construction paired with flexible impact protection, and a snug-fitting synthetic suede palm. What that boils down to is the Sentinel gloves mean business.Â
Who’s this for: Gravity focussed riders who would like some protection on their hands
Palm style: Synthetic suede, paired with grippers. This gives you a nice ‘close to the bar’ feel with good dexterity for brake, shifter and dropper post operation.
Materials: The Sentinel’s construction is a moisture-wicking, 4-way stretch airmesh shell mated to an AX SUEDE DEUCE synthetic suede palm. With a Polygiene odour control technology, the gloves will stay fresher a bit longer.
Additional protection: There is flexible DK IMPACT protection on the knuckles as well as the palm. Â
Closure: With an adjustable hook and loop tab the gloves are easy to slip on and off.Â
Touch screen compatible:Â Yes. You can check your Strava without needing to remove your gloves.
Sweat wipe:Â There sure is. Dakine calls it a microfleece nose wipe, but it will work for sweat too.
Pros: Knuckle and palm protection waiting for the inevitable. Touch screen compatible so you can answer that call while you are taking in all that serenity. Â
Cons:Â If you prefer gloves with a straight cuff, no hook and loop closure system you will have to look elsewhere.Â
