The Maxxis Minion DHF is the winningest downhill (and also the most copied!) tyre on the world cup circuit and 2021 marks 20 years since the Maxxis Minion DHF touched dirt for the first time.
The now-iconic tread pattern was the brainchild of Colin Bailey, a rider on the Maxxis factory team in the early 2000s.
With large, squared cornering blocks, channel-cut centre knobs, and wide spacing, the Minion strikes a distinctive profile and has been piloted to the podium more times than anyone can count.
To celebrate this 20-year milestone, Maxxis is offering a super limited run of special edition Minion DHF’s with throwback graphics on the sidewall.
Hang it on your wall as a memento or mount it up and ride it like you stole it, the choice is yours. Either way, you’d better get in quick as they won’t hang around for long.
Features:
- Limited run with 20th-anniversary graphics on the sidewall
- Imbued with the spirits of 20 years of champions
- Big Square knobs for plenty of grip.
- Great in a variety of conditions but excels in dry to damp, hard to medium soils.
- Great as a grippy front tyre (obviously!) as well as a fast-rolling rear if you want to focus on speed and cornering ability over braking performance.Â
