Parts DaBomb RL-4 Single Speed Chain Tensioner

The RL-4 Chain tensioner from DaBomb is a simple and reliable fixed chain tensioner for single speed conversions on bike frames designed for cassette and derailleur systems, often referred to as vertical dropout frames.

If your bike has a standard 135mm rear end with a Quick-Release (QR) skewer-type rear axle and you want to convert it to single-speed, then the RL-4 from DaBomb gives you a super simple and inexpensive chain tensioner that will prevent chain drop.

The RL-4 is made from anodised forged and machined 6061 aluminium with a smooth-rolling polyurethane guide wheel and is provided with stainless hardware. It mounts to your bike using your existing rear wheel QR Skewer with a replacement aluminium axle nut. A second stainless bolt mounts the RL-4 to your derailleur hanger and between the two bolts the RL-4 can easily be positioned to suit your bike and held in place securely. The PE guide wheel also has a vertical adjustment to fine-tune the amount of upward or downward pressure the guide wheel puts on the chain.
