The Shimano Deore FC-M6120 1×12 Speed Cranks feature a new construction and have inherited the direct mount system from Shimano’s flagship models. Chain retention is greatly improved thanks to the Dynamic Chain Engagement tooth profile and the 178mm Q-factor and 55mm chainline is compatible with 148mm (Boost) rear hub spacing.
Who’s this item for: These cranks are a great choice for any type of rider looking for an up to date and aesthetically pleasing set of cranks that won’t detonate their bank account.
Spindle Size: These cranks use Shimano’s standard 24mm spindle.
Weight: Approx 780g
Chainring: Direct mount chainring included in either 30t or 32t.
Crank arm length: Available in 170mm or 175mm only
Chainline: The M6120 cranks have a 55mm chainline for compatibility with 148mm Boost frames only. Checkout the M6100 cranks if you want an option with a 52mm chainline that is compatible with both non-Boost (142mm) and Boost (148mm) frames.
Materials: Anodised aluminium crank arms, plated steel spindle, painted steel chainring.
Pros: Direct mount chainrings are cross-compatible with Shimano’s higher-end models. New tooth profile for less noise and better chain retention. Shimano has made these cranks look pretty cool. They certainly don’t look like an entry-level crank.
Cons: Available in 30t or 32t sizes only. Non-Hollowtech crank arms have a slight weight penalty over the higher end models.
