These pedals are the successor to Shimano’s longtime favourites, the M530. The PD-ME700 pedals take the outstanding value and reliability of their predecessor and improve on things a little with the addition of a wider and thinner body. The shape has also been tweaked, with an elevated rear portion to provide better contact with the shoe. With an aluminium body, Cromoly axle, and Shimano’s easily serviced bearing system, these pedals have all the right ingredients to create another classic pedal that offers outstanding value for money.
