These pads come with an alloy backing plate to conduct heat away from the pad, also fitted with Shimano’s Radiator Fin to provide longer pad life and less fade through heat dissipation.
The Shimano L05A-RF replace the L03A and provide a new resin compound with 50% less wear, better modulation and quieter operation.
Sintered Pads or Resin, what’s best for you?
Sintered pads can withstand higher pressure and temperature, fade less and have better-wet performance as well as last longer. Are better for heavier riders.
Resin pads are quieter and result in less squeal, have a quicker break-in period and build up less heat. More suited for lighter riders
